Quick Start Guide

🎮 Try it with Demo Data

  1. Install the app using your platform's guide below
  2. Launch the application and navigate to Settings → Data Management
  3. Click "Initialize Test Data" to populate your app with sample data
  4. Explore features with pre-populated sample data
  5. Test offline functionality by disconnecting from internet

🔄 Start Fresh

  1. Open the Settings menu from the sidebar
  2. Scroll to "Data Management"
  3. Click "Clear Demo Data"
  4. Confirm the action to remove all sample data

🎨 Personalize Your Setup

  1. Custom App Icon: Settings → Appearance → Upload Custom Icon
  2. Payment Types: Settings → Business Setup → Payment Methods → Add New
  3. Inventory Categories: Settings → Business Setup → Categories → Create Category
  4. Add Inventory: Inventory → Add New Item → Fill Details
  5. Record Sales: Sales → New Sale → Select Items → Choose Payment → Complete

🌐 Microsoft Edge

  1. Launch Application
  2. Click the "Apps" menu (⋯) in the address bar
  3. Select "Install this site as an app"
  4. Click "Install" to complete the process

🍎 Safari (Mac Desktop)

  1. Launch Application
  2. Click File in the menu bar
  3. Select "Add to Dock"
  4. Click "Add" to create a desktop app

📱 iOS Devices (iPhone & iPad)

  1. Launch Application
  2. Tap the Share button (box with arrow) at the bottom of the screen
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Click "Add" to install the app on your device

💻 Chrome (Windows, Mac, Linux)

  1. Launch Application
  2. Look for the "Install My Hustle" icon (⊕) on the right side of the address bar
  3. Click "Install" in the popup that appears
  4. The app will install and create a desktop shortcut

Firefox

  1. Open My Hustle in the browser
  2. Honest status: Firefox’s Progressive Web App support is limited and varies by version and OS. Full “install as an app” is most reliable on Chrome, Edge, or Safari.
  3. Practical options:
    • Bookmark the app and use it as a normal tab (works everywhere)
    • On some Android Firefox builds: menu → “Add to Home screen” / “Install” if shown
    • For desktop install shortcuts, switch to Chrome or Edge when possible
